Purpose

The Purpose of the International Grand Secretaries Association (IGSA) is to mutually assist present and past Grand Secretaries, to promote social interaction, strengthen the bonds of fraternal friendship, and to inspire love for the principles of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Membership is open to all past and present Grand Secretaries in all jurisdictions under the General Grand Chapter and in other jurisdictions recognized by the General Grand Chapter.

Proceeding the General Grand Chapter Session, the IGSA holds a breakfast with the International Grand Treasurers Association. Following the breakfast, a business meeting is held. At this meeting the pictorial record of all previous Grand Secretaries and those who have served as Right Worthy Grand Secretary is always on display for members to view.

In 2021 the IGSA held a zoom meeting on October 19th to conduct its usual triennium business. Ther Association will hold informal zoom meetings on October 19th of 2022 and 2023.

Emails are used as a means to communicate announcements, joys, and sorrows among the group as well as assisting each other with work issues. Dues are $6 per triennium. Please contact Sister Corley Anne Byras, President, at corleybyras@gmail.com to learn more about joining IGSA.
