The Right Worthy Grand Secretary, Charles Chandler, has reported that he reached out to the Deputy to the MWGM for Hawaii asking about the status of OES Chapters and Sisters and Brothers in Hawaii. As of this writing, August 19, 2023, the report is that there have been no Chapters lost. The Deputy to the MWGM for Hawaii is reaching out on-island to ascertain if we have any Sisters or Brothers in need of our assistance.

While we currently have no reports of OES needs, which is great news that we all hope remains unchanged, the devastation caused by the fires is very real and extensive. We have all seen the graphic images of destruction and loss on the news. Hawaii is clearly facing a major recovery and rebuilding effort and will need all of the financial help it can get.
