When Brother F. Lon Lowry was installed as the Right Worthy Grand Sentinel of the General Grand Chapter, “The Drum Corps” here in Ohio formed a partnership with Sister Glenda Winchester’s “Band of Stars” in South Carolina.   Sister Glenda and Brother Lon will serve General Grand Chapter together as the Most Worthy Grand Matron and Most Worthy Grand Patron beginning with their Installation 1n November, 2021.

The purpose of both groups is to raise funds to help  The Grand Chapter of Ohio and The Grand Chapter of South Carolina defray the expenses that will be incurred when the General Grand Chapter Triennial Session convenes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in the fall of 2024.

The Drum Corps will continue to sponsor events and the sale of unique items at Eastern Star gatherings through 2024.  We thank our members profusely for their unwavering support in our endeavors.

ITEMS FOR SALE

OES – Origami charms  – The charms include the emblems of all five Star Points, the OES emblem and the Holy Altar.  They are $5.00 each or the complete set of 7 for $35.00.  These are available from The Drum Corps ONLY!  We have exclusive rights to these beautiful charms!

Scarves with “Lon’s signature drum”  – The cost is $15.00.  The scarves are white polyester and wash easily.  The drum is on the one end only.  It would be an eye catcher for those heading to General Grand Chapter but anyone can wear it anytime and anywhere!  They make great gifts!

Lon’s official drum pin – The cost is $20.00 each.  The pin is a gold drum with rhinestone edging and  looks lovely on coats, jackets, scarves etc.  It is classy!!!

Lon’s March – Sheet music is $3.00 each.  For those who play the piano, organ or keyboard, this one is for you!  The music is lively and reflects many aspects of Lon’s life.  It is a must for chapter Organists!  The march was written by our own Past Grand Matron, Sister Carol Kauffman.
